Air Canada's Calin Rovinescu and AerCap's Aengus Kelly were honored July 15 with Airline Strategy Awards. Rovinescu received the Executive Leadership award, while Kelly was given the Flight Airline Business award.
Airports Council International's 2018 World's Busiest Airports report names Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport as the top airport in the world for passenger traffic. The airport served 103 million travelers in 2017, topping second-ranked Beijing Capital International Airport by 8 million passengers.

The expansion of Charlotte Douglas International Airport in North Carolina will create new gates, some of which will go to American Airlines, which operates a hub at the airport. The $2.5 billion expansion will include a a fourth parallel runway, expanded concourses and a new terminal.
